This was small LIMITED batch of 10 cards only!
ALL 68EC020TK Cards are sold!
There will be a commercial offer of these cards at some point,
will inform here as soon as i know more about price and site...
Thank You very much for Your support!

Hello dear Amigan's
:grouphug:

My name is Viktor,
some of You already know me as a retro computer enthusiast,
i’m spending my time building open-source retro computer related hardware for a big range of computers,
making them more powerful and comfortable to use.
generally i do it for my personal use, however, i do like retro related forums like
A1k, EAB, or Amibay, and want to support them somehow.

decided to offer small batches of hardware i am able to build and sell them to the people without or limited soldering skills.
With this move i can shoot two rabbits with one shot: more happy retro computer users, and some cash to support our forums
- i think it's great!

This time offer an 68EC020 TK accelerator card by Matze for A500 /A1000 /A2000

CPU: Motorolla 68EC020 running @30.4Mhz

IDE: Yes, powered (Pin20 provides power to CF / DOM module)

DMA Support: Yes

RAM: 11MB (4 Memory profiles)
8MB + 1,5MB Ranger + 1.5MB A0-B8 +ROM-Overlay (Total 11MB+1.5Mb FakeROM)
6MB + 1,5MB Ranger + 1.5MB A0-B8 +ROM-Overlay (Total 9MB+1.5Mb FakeROM)
8MB only
Nomem

137390 137391 137334 137335 137336

As You see this accelerator card isn't fastest one, it also has no FPU, however, it's a perfect expansion for playing WHDLoad games
offering correct quit function and enough memory for even advanced games. All in all great hardware!
Matze has opened he’s accelerator card sources – everyone is welcome to build these cards.
All information about can be found on Github (https://github.com/MHeinrichs). It’s free for non-commercial purposes.

selling info's:
have limited order 10 cards in total, will offer these for sale as I don’t need all of them anyway, just one or maybe two..
There is same small problem like all other accelerators have – an additional relocator is needed.
Some of You has purchased Kippers relocator clone from me, this relocator fits perfectly to close housing with TK installed
Offer spare cards here based on same rules i did for TF530 & 68030 already:

1. Cards will be offered in sets with all necessary - relocator boards, CF adaptor, and IDE extension included
2. i am responsible for the card i have built, will try to help solving issues if You have any,
however, You need to understand that this is pure hobby project, rather than a ready to use commercial product with warranty and full support, hence support i can offer is limited by my full time work and family
3. Price for accelerator boards sold thru this forum will have a small donation (5€) for forum needs – we need to keep this place alive.

Asking 110€ for accelerator only, or 130€ for accelerator + relocator, CF Card adapter and ribbon cable extension.
A2000 version with CPU Slot card (additional IDE, Clockport) will change the owner for 140€
PayPal as a friend/family or add 4% to cover fees
Also IBAN payment is accepted
Postage fees are 6,50€ to any country (tracked & insured)

Does this mean that you will not supply any more cards at all and all future purchases will have to be done through a vendor?
I would like to know whether I should start looking for something elsewhere, or if I can still expect to get something from you at some point.

You will get Your board soon, You are in queue already, have built three boards and started fourth now. So all persons already declared interest here - will get accelerator from me.

This is generally with all products designed by Matthias - there is a clear statement on the boards that these are NOT for commercial reproduction, so making countless batches and selling them is NOT allowed. I'm respecting these rules because i really like his quality works, also don't want to make someone angry, cause this will end at the point we all already know - there will be no open source projects anymore, and i don't really want that happens.

As about this particular 68EC020TK accelerator -Matze kindly allowed me to sell LIMITED batch (10 cadrs in total) of these cards to the persons without soldering skills, if i take responsibility for the cards i am building. He will run automatic assembly of these boards at some point, and sell them with warranty. I think these are excellent news, indeed!
don't know the homepage, nor prices yet, as far i get more info - i will post info here, so persons interested in these cards be able to get them and tune up their Migas!
with respect and best wishes from Germany-

Sure, You can, however your CF should be formatted with OFS, as wb 1.3 do not understand Fast File System, and is unable to operate disks formatted with FFS
Also 3.1 library contains more updates and can operate with more colors

There is no such jumper (tool) by default, but it doesn't mean You can't use this feature.
in my opinion with this amount of memory You can sacrifice 512kb

Hello,
a small update for A2000 users:
Few users have noticed minor issues on A2000, and Matze has explained why:
Here is his explanation:
"The Problem lies on the Commodore-PCB:

https://www.a1k.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=176615&thumb=1&d=1536570209 (https://www.a1k.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=176615&d=1536570209)

On the A2000 (top) Commodore added a capacitor for noise filtering on the E-Clock

On the A500 (bottom) Commodore added a Resistor on SOME A500-boards for noise filtering.

So on the A500 the resistor on my TK board (R19) adds up to the onboard-resistor, which is generally no problem. On A500 with no resistor (rev5) it fixes this issue (which was also a stability-issue) tackled by Commodore via the onboard-resistor and runs smoothly.

But on the A2000 my resistor becomes a RC-delay filter, which delays the Eclock and confuses the CIAs. I think I have to install a A2000-Jumper to bridge R19 if needed..."
So in other words, for those who has an issue on A2k - just replace R19 resistor with 0Ohm one, or put a solder blob on it, it will fix this issue!
Happy hacking!

Viktor

Package received. My 2000 isn't ready for it yet as it still needs some fixes so cannot test it yet but it looks very nice indeed. There was even a CF adapter with bracket included which I didn't realize (yes I know the post says so, but somehow I didn't see that) so I consider that a bonus. :)

One question - I don't assume that it is possible to use the IDE port on the CPU adapter board and the IDE connector on the accelerator at the same time?

Hello Martin, glad to hear Your set arrived safe! Actually You can remove 68020TK from CPU Slot card and give it a go on A500 ;)

There was even a CF adapter with bracket included which I didn't realize (yes I know the post says so, but somehow I didn't see that) so I consider that a bonus. :)
Sure, since You ordered a full set - You've got all parts needed to start to use it out of the box. This type CF adapter looks nice on A2k, and of course it minimizes the risk of possible shorts. By the way - Power cord isn't needed, it becomes power from Pin20 of the ide!

One question - I don't assume that it is possible to use the IDE port on the CPU adapter board and the IDE connector on the accelerator at the same time? You can use both IDE ports for same time, just keep in mind - CPU Slot IDE isn't autobooting, (need to be mounted each time with addIDE tool on the DVD) actually You can make it bootable, but You need to patch KS ROM with ide.device to make this ide bootable..

last card was shipped to user Franktho

Was looking for some documentation regarding the jumper settings and I found some here (https://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?t=62419), and I thought it could be relevant for others here as well.

Basically, the board has three jumpers BOOT, MEM_1 and MEM_2.

BOOT:
Off = Autoboot enabled

MEM_1/MEM_2:
Off/Off = 8MB + 1.5MB ranger + 1MB FakeROM
On/Off = 8MB
Off/On = 6MB + 1.5MB ranger + 1MB FakeROM
On/On = No memory

Does anyone know what this FakeROM is and how to use it? Will it work automatically by shadowing the ROM or do you need to use some software tool to enable it?

For some reason, my board seems to be running at 16MHz only but there is no jumper to set the CPU clock speed as far as I can see. The solder jumper SJ2 might be related to the clock speed though but does anyone know about this?

DjCook

Well, fakeROM is memory area where FastROM usually gets placed, Matze used that space as additional memory
