Hi all, I have for sale today my cdtv. I have loved the journey this has taken me on but I'm now at the end and have grown bored and looking for something else to play with. I have expanded this machine from stock.
This machine now includes a megachip bringing the chip ram up to 2Mb, IDE+8Mb fast ram, internal gotek drive (in place of the original card reader) with the flashfloppy firmware (will update to latest version before shipping), sd-ide with 32gb SD card (partitioned with PFS3 as a small boot and one large partition) and dual 1.3/3.1 kickstart with switch mounted in the back video module plate. Extended roms are the latest 2.7.
The front panel cables were replaced with new cables and sockets meaning the front panel is now removable if needed.
When switched to 1.3 the machine will boot into the cdtv startup allowing you to play cdtv software cd's (they will load on the 3.1 ROM too but some don't display the video hence the ability to switch back to 1.3). When set to 3.1 you can boot from the SD card. During boot it will reboot once to load a newer scsi.device into memory before booting into workbench. This is to be able to access the large partition on the SD card (PFS3 file system used). The red led of the gotek is wired for HDD activity, the green led is for gotek/floppy activity.
Original CDTV mouse, keyboard and remote are included along with a selection of original cdtv titles (trivial pursuit is just disc one as that's all I received when I acquired it). Power cable and AV cable are also included. Lastly the original cdtv v1.0 roms and kickstart 1.3 chip are included along with a SCSI kit should the new owner want to use it.
A couple of things to note is the video module has been repaired. It was cracked when I received the cdtv and not working and the previous owner had done an RGB bypass. I removed the bypass and tacked some wires on to restore the video module to working order. One screw post has snapped at the back (see picture).
You will need a usb stick for the gotek as one is not included (I did have a nice micro black one that fitted nicely but it packed up).
Original CDTV box is included, not in the best condition but acceptable. It will be shipping in the original box inside another box. I will only ship this with full insurance and tracking. It's too valuable to be messing around with uninsured post.
