Hi,

One of my son's friends is looking for some DDR400 or DDR533 (DDR1) memory. My son Ian (Bigian88) is a moderator on the Aria Forums.

He is looking for 512Mb or 1Gb sticks of DDR-1 and I am aware that they normally came in DDR400 as the mainstream maximum speed; however, there were some manufacturers that made DDR1-533Mhz overclocking kits, including Geil, Corsair and OCZ.

If you have any suitable memory, please post in here as to what you have along with your asking price. Ta.

Which type of DDR1? 240 or 184pin?

Good question.

It's the 184-pin version.

Thought I had some brand new 512Mb units....turns out they were DDR2 which is annoying as I've always been under the impression they were DDR all these years

Do they have to be matching modules?

If not i have 2 DDR-400 1gb dimms here that work perfectly.

Nope, they don't have to match. How much please?

I don.t suppose you have 2 512mb ddr-2 modules you can swap?

If not how does £15 + P&P sound?

Sounds good to me! I don't have any DDR-2 to hand apart from laptop DIMMs. Consider your DDR400 sold! (y)

I'll drop you a PM tomorrow. as I'm about to go out for the rest of the evening.

@ Tokyo

There was DDR1 in 533 flavour but it was really expensive.
