This A4000D(the girlfriend) was sold to me as "in need of some TLC and elbow grease".
The dark spots were really nasty, looked horrible, but when I moved up I realised that the Amiga had been spilled on; ink, deadly virus/bacteria culture or oil. And instead of getting a good cleaning someone had just justed scotch tape to cover it up. Yuck!
So using my nails I pealed of the tape, and then I used isopropanol (booze part) and some paper towels to clean off the gunk.
The final step was to use a kitchen scrub sponge and some elbow grease. The results are visible here.
I must admit that my first thought was to paint this one, but really. Now I really love the result, and no sanding or spray painting required!!!
