Here we have the elusive Blizzard 1220/ADD4 RAM expansion module for Blizzard 1220 accelerators. It will expand your 1220 setup to the total of 8 MBytes. They come with English and German install guides.

Total number of units: 5 (1 unit per order please - also on sale elsewhere, quantity might change without notice)

- 1 unit sold to jayrox - done
- 1 unit sold to mac388 - done
- 1 unit sold to AMike - done.
- 1 unit sold to nobodyii - - done
- 1 unit sold to psodas - - done

Still available: 0 unit (ALL SOLD)

These are NOS, fully tested and fully functional modules. Looking for 29 each. Shipping as simple letter to EU is 1.30, worldwide is 1.50. Tracked delivery is 9.85 worldwide. PP gift or add 4%.

And the small print: I take pride in packaging all my items very well, with materials appropriate for the item. I have plenty of bubble wrap, padded envelopes, foam, anti-static bags and cardboard boxes. Post Danmark is more expensive than e.g. German post or Royal Mail but they are very reliable and fast, even with non-signed parcels. An economy letter to the UK typically takes 3-4 working days, often delivered only in 2 days.

Most of my items are New Old Stock (NOS) quality, unmodified and complete with original packaging, all accessories, manuals, inlays etc. I usually go out of my way to help resolve any problems. I normally test my items before sending out, but I can't offer any warranty or returns as I'm a private collector and most of my stuff is more than 15 years old.

Hi,

do these ones have any kind of box included? Or just the manual as shown on the pic?

Thanks
Alex

These never had a boxes as they were optional upgrades for the Blizzard 1220 accelerators. They came in sealed antistatic bags with a small guide.

Do you know if a blizzard 1220 + 4 mo (8 mo total) make a conflict with PCMCIA ?

The ADD4 RAM Expansion is incompatible with the PCMCIA slot, the ADD4 have a jumper to disable it and use the PCMCIA slot with 4MB.

The ADD4 RAM Expansion is incompatible with the PCMCIA slot, the ADD4 have a jumper to disable it and use the PCMCIA slot with 4MB. The user guide also mentions how to connect a switch on that jumper to easy disabling/enabling the extra RAM.

Thanx for this information

The incompatibility applies only to PCMCIA cards that claim the same (or part of the) 4 MB of autoconfig address space the add-on RAM will claim too.
Input/Output oriented PCMCIA cards that reserve address space elsewhere are more than likely not affected.
So it may be a problem mostly for PCMCIA RAM cards.

All RAM-only expansions, all '020 CPU cards and certain budget '030 cards for the A1200 are limited to 24-bit addressing. This gives you the 8MB FastRAM limit. If you fill the top 4MB with RAM, you will always conflict with the PCMCIA port. It's irrelevant of Kickstart version of what PCMCIA cards you use.

Sometimes you might get lucky and have it appear to work, but as rkauer would say, Mr. Guru is always just around the corner, waiting to say hello.
