Hi, I am after an Amiga 4000, prefereably with a mouse and keyboard, I am from Australia so would prefer to buy locally. I live in the Tamworth NSW area but can travel to pick it up.
Depending on shipping costs I would also consider buying overseas.
If you have one you want to sell, please contact me with info and price.

Cheers,
Gordon

What specs (or lowest specs) are you looking for/ willing to accept?

eg:

1 or 2 diskdrives?
3.0 / 3.1 roms?
CDRom or DVDRom or DVDRW?
Harddrive with OS installed?
Standard 030 or an 040/060 accelerator? Perhaps even 604e PPC?
Graphics Card? PicassoII through to a Cybervision64/3D?

I can provide a mouse no worries and a keyboard but the keyboard probably wouldn't be an A4000 one and then you'd need a PS2 adapter...

Then again maybe I'm over thinking things and you're just waiting for offers to come out of the woodwork :)

At the very least this bumps your request ;-)

RE: Slayer

RE: Slayer

Hi Slayer, thanks for the reply.
The 3.1 roms would be needed. I have OS3.9 already (A1200 roms tho),
Not too worried about harddisks/CD/DVD roms, as they are available locally.
Not too worried about a 2nd floppy drive.
A graphics card would be handy but depends on what cost.
I would need a mouse.
Would prefer an A4000 keyboard so if you don't have one, then Ill source one elsewhere.

Is it a Commodore motherboard or a Escom/Quickpack?
If it is a Comoodore motherboard is it the 030 or 040 cpu? and what speed?
Could be interested in the 604ePPC card, but again depends on cost.
If you could give me a price on the stock A4000 and how much extra for the 604ePPC card and also the graphics cards and we'll go from there.

Also any idea on postage costs?

Cheers
Gordon

ok

All prices in NZ dollars

1 x Commodore A4000MB 25Mhz 030 nofpu
1 x Commodore A4000 desktop in reasonably good condition
1 x 3.1 Roms
1 x Commodore Mouse

The above for $300.00 + P&P

Here's the package deal:- if you buy the initial stock pack
and want something extra here's a complimentary offer:

Add another $300.00 + any new P&P considerations

and I'll

swap out the 030 for a Commodore 25Mhz 040/fpu v3.2
and add a Cybervision64/3D graphics board

Of course none of this comes with manuals or software
but everything is readily available off the net or from
this community :)

And sorry, I don't have any idea how much this would be postage wise
I've never sold anything before LOL

If you're genuinely interested I can get it altogether and weigh it
just let me know

and yes its either $300.00+P&P or $600.00+P&P or I'll need to reprice it...

Thanks for any consideration

---------- Post added at 09:03 ---------- Previous post was at 09:00 ----------

I've left the PPC out for the moment, too much to process at the drop of a hat... I'm pretty sure my spare 604e is a 233mhz model also so commands quite a bit of cash... sorry not sure I'll list it any time soon...

Hi,

Would you be able to put up a pic of the 4000 desktop?
Just wanting to confirm whether it is a Commodore or a Escom/quickpac motherboard?
Is there any problems with the battery backed clock? any leakages on the motherboard?, or any other problems with it?

Might just go with the stock machine, the expansions put it a little out of my price range, thanks all the same.
Could you get me a price on postage, I live at Kootingal, NSW 2352
Kootingal is near Tamworth.

Thanks,
Gordon

Bugger, here I was thinking I'd sneak in a bit of Mass Effect 2 before bed... I'll see what I can rustle up!

Well several hours later...

This is probably why I hadn't sold anything before... I had to dig out a monitor that would display the native rgb signal of the Amiga, it's a little grubbie to say the least... Even the poor A4000 has some dust on it... easily cleaned away though :)

I ripped the battery out quite some time ago to prevent anything bad happening, this A4000 has a socketed Buster 11 and has full memory on the motherboard...

I'm sure I can find a face plate for it too, I'll clean everything up and reseat the chips etc and make sure it all goes good... The power supply seems good too... I'll dig up a metal plate for across the daughter board too...

I don't know of any other problems with it

I wish it did look a little better but I suppose it is getting on in years and the lightning in my lounge this time of night isn't the best... anyway, see what you think...

I can pop up to the store any time tomorrow to get a cost to post it... I'll get a few different calculations...

Oops meant to say the disk drive seems to be dead too, its too bad too since it says it a High Density one... I can replace it easily enough but it probably won't be HD though...

Anyway, I better hit the sack, its coming up to 1am and it was a late night Sunday night! I'll check back in the morning at work...

Thanks for putting them pics up, do you have another floppy drive?
Anyway all looks good, I'll wait for the postage cost.
What payment method do you prefer? Do you have a paypal account?

Cheers,
Gordon

Yes I'll get another drive put in :)

and yes I do have Paypal... I'll get it weighed some time today and let you know

Thanks

Ok, found out a few things about posting to Australia

1) doesn't actually matter where in Australia you are sending it it is the same price
2) It's roughly $3.00 per 100 grams
3) There isn't very much difference from airmail and enconomy

So, bearing this in mind

Airmail it costs NZ$60.00
Economy (which is boat?) is NZ$50.00

I took it up without packing it first LOL and no mouse (which I'll wrap and put inside the case) but that won't be much more I wouldn't think, I was going to throw in a free slim line external drive but I think it'll weigh too much now...

I think the NZ dollar at the moment is around 75c per Australian dollar so the stock setup and the P&P and whatever the paypal fees are should set you back

360 x .75 = $270.00 + Paypal fees

Let me know if you want to proceed and you want my paypal details

cheers

It's always hard to find decent Amiga gear here in NZ. If for some reason the sale should fall through I like to be next in line to purchase if that's ok.

Great Trade, left feedback

Here's a few pictures onscreen as I finalised the A4000D desktop, should have it packed tonight and posted tommorrow morning...

@Kitch, sorry fellow Kiwi, the deal is finalised. Maybe you should create a wanted thread and see how that works out?

I got the parcel away 9am this morning and due to be picked up at noon. I wasn't able to post during the day because I did a return trip to Benmore Dam right after that to look at a new job which is a 5 hour return trip.

Now all we do it wait for it to appear :)
