Also found in BBC Master's (and some BBC B upgrades) & Acorn A3000's

I've just checked my spares box & I don't have any left...Bugger Otherwise it would have been your's my friend. :(

Ahh the old winchester drive controller wdc1772 and wd1772 well actually they control the stepper motor which in turns moves the read/write head

might be able to spare one as it's the only one I have :D

if its going spare then yes please, it will push one of the projects along nicely
just let me know what you require for the said chip :)

then all i have to do is find a good PAL/GAL programmer :shock:

Well I found the board with it on I already removed the cpu from it as well as some other ic's so yeah its up for grabs just give me a few quid for it and postage and we're good to go as they don't really tend to fail i only ever had 2 replace 2 about 15 years ag and I guess I won't need it so give me a shout

good luck with the pal and gal programmer btw

found a cheap GAL programmer, called GALBlast, well it is actually a zip file for creating your own.
now just have to get my etching kit out again :)

Well finally posted the IC today time is a big problem for me
One WD1772 is on the way or was that one WD40?

You should have it by friday or so Im told had to post it recorded delivery what a rip off

I have erm...5 Atari ST's here now all missing their WD/VL 1772 FDD chips :woot:
they did work but now they dont :whistle:
