There is a place that still makes hard drive cards for the IIgs if you don't want to stick with a SCSI drive. Let me see if I can find the link for you. I think it uses IDE.
 
According to the front page of Reactive Micro they aren't accepting any orders at the moment.

Not sure if they are still selling them but there is 16 Sector, who have the Focus IDE Controller card.

Actually the place I was thinking of was 16Sector.com but Reactive Micro is pretty cool too, since they reproduced the Mockingboard which is an awesome early synth card.
 
One I receive my CFFA card I'll sell you my SCSI setup. :) Hopefully you'll get one sooner then.

Yeah I was looking at that also I have to watch my spending for a bit have to get a van I can't really take care of my motorhome anymore.
