If you're looking for a classic SNES solution, I have a Game Doctor SF7 with 64MB RAM (Expandable to 128MB but the 64MB will play pretty much every backup). It also comes with the Blue DSP add-on that allows you to play backed up games that require the DSP.

I also have 2 x 24 meg back up systems, a wildcard and a profighter. One of these occasionally didnt load a game but only occasionally. The other works flawlessly. I'd also be prepared for swaps etc.

I also have a super everdrive with DSP.
 
xbomber wasn't interested in the backup unit I had for sale. He said he was looking for a Wildcard or SNES PowerPak.

It was from warners retro who for info were quick and reasonably priced.

first impressions of Everdrive are good - highly recommended.
