right last post before i fly out the door to sunny Monaco. (i will log on from the sunshine to say hello, i am an Amiaddict afterall :) )
here are the 1st shots of the birth of the soon to be famous Ferrari Amiga A1200 (comments welcome (y) )
note the red feet on the underside and the small enamel Ferrari badge on the top next to the Amiga lettering

I take it that it's not all show and no go though? What's going under the hood, so to speak?

That looks incredible! I have to ask, what kind of paint did you use on the that? It's very glossy. Someday when I have the courage, I will do something like this to one of my computers. I should see if you step father will let me use his tools to machine myself a new Amiga 2000 case.... mines all beat up.

Later on we'll see it on the other bay with a title like "Extremely Rare, Ultra Customized Ferrari Amiga 1200" with a starting bid of ten zillion pounds... And someone will buy it! ;)

this may be the last time i'm here if Ferrari do indeed pull out of F1 ;o(

anyhoo, thanks for your comments so far and i shall try to answer your questions, it'll have the Apollo 1260 installed with 32mb, a scandoubler, 3.1 roms, idefix, 60gb 2.5" drive and a slimline dvd drive, yes Kin the legs are to give more clearance for the 1260 cooling, Zettypoos = i'm going to use red or white lettering for the keys, haven't decided which yet.

the paint used is a Corsa Rosso Ferrari red (what else?) and the black is called Stone chip gloss black (it's VERY tough and as the name says it doesn't chip- important for the keys i thought)
and Sky don't hold your breath for the Ebay thing, once my a1200 towers sale has finished this will be my only Miggy, this is why i wanted to personilize it for me, i don't think it is fooling anyone into it being a Ferrari Amiga lol

anyway i'm back off to the pool and another beer, talk to you all later :beer: :pint:

In Rosso Red & with an 060 under the hood m8, don't ever think you have anything Less than a Ferarri of an Amiga!

Here's hoping a few more Beers & that Monaco Sunshine doesn't cloud your Vision m8y. It's looking really good so far. (y)

Hmmm.... not enough air scoops, flared arches and alloy 'bits' for it to be really 'Ferrari' though..... it needs that 'Testarossa' touch.....looks nice though.... :drool:

It probably needs a nice V12 sound when Workbench loads too!

Hope ur havin' a ball (or 2) there m8y, you lucky lucky lucky fella! - I think ur gunno have to do a "Photo Report" on ur break in the Photo Booth when you get back! :mrgreen:

RE the White letters on the Keys, be sure you get those babies that dont show the Transfer opacity. Some do but have a solvent you smear on them to remove the transfer detail. Perhaps others know of Letraset that leave no transfer film trace. Zeets is prolly the guy in the know tbh! :wink:

right!!! i'm back and i have been busy :nod:

here's the first update, have lettered up the keyboard and painted the floppy eject button black.

it's pretty much assembled now but i can't test it as I don't have a 200W psu (hint@Zetr0 :ROTFLOL2: )
