just some info, what you need is a 486slc2 upgrade for the 386sx cpu, there was no real 486sx upgrade for any 386sx...
Those 486scl2 chips are most common by Cyrix and then TI , they vastly rely on their internal 1kb L2 cache to show their speed, they come with a program to activate it via autoexec.bat

I think this is for IBM PS2 machines with a 80286 CPU mounted...

The one from the link above can't be physicaly installed on an A2386. You need the Cyrix clip-on upgrade. Look how my BB looks with it (greed rad).

Everybody wants this, because a A2386sx can be upgraded to a 486SLC2 with it, too... :D

Best choose is a CX486SRX2: it is 100% compatible with A2386 and don't suffer noise on clock like TI CPU. I have found one in an american forum (www.vintage-computer.com).

I will post some photos in Photo Booth section.
