Checked it today and it reads disks fine. Clean and tidy, with an enable/disable switch at back and a thru port.

Mine would seem to be 1990 made (same model, later CAX-354 used a sleeker casing) but the serial number doesn't follow any logic.
Or the dates don't follow any logic :lol:
Still, wonderful drives. IIRC from one year ago when I opened it up, there's a DD Sony or Teac drive in there.

Neither does mine.. I dont think I can work any pattern out.

The reason we are interested in the date chaps is that Iain is going to try to get it running with his BBC Model B with the 8271 floppy controller.
I have had quite a fair success rate with these older drives.
