Anyone have any info on a PCI graphics card.

Model EV-3DS3-4

It has 15 pin SVGA
It appears to have 2mb Ram
Elephant Rom Chip.
S3 Virge /DX on Board
34 pins with FC written on top
10 pinds with J2 written on top/

Would this work on Mediator 1200 PCI ?

Will post a picture later.

If anyone has a manual that would be great.

Does it have the capability of adding a pc Floppy and Pc serial no mate not at all

just 2 mb

look for a voodoo3 2000/3000 for best mediator usage mate

or radeon 9200 or 9250 64/128mb

Are you sure the FC connector is 34 pins and not 26 pins?
"FC" stands for "Feature Connector", nothing to do with floppies. It was typically found on PCI and early AGP graphics cards, supposedly for stuff like MPEG playback modules etc.
No idea on the 10-pins J2, but if it is jacketed it's 99% meant for connecting a cable, if it's bare it could just be a configuration jumpers block, although I've never seen any PCI card with that many.

ive got a 4mb version of these pci cards and it works.

the fc connector is a feature connector for mpeg module, mines an s3 virge 86C235.
the card has the same performance as a CV64 3D card for zorro amiga's that uses the same virge chip.
but youll probably be better off with a voodoo3 or a radeon.

As you can see the 34 pin FC and 10 pin J2 are top of the card. There is a trace either burned out or rusted. I have not tried the card yet.

i think the card will still work, even with that burned trace.(where its burned it dont seem to go anywhere past that connector at j2)

it goes round the front of the card under the vga port past j4 on the card out the other side of the card to the pci slot.

are you sure its a 2mb card? all the spaces for memory are filled to max

Thanks for that

Each chip end with 256a so I guess thats 8 x 256k which is 2meg

thanks again.

Looks like a plain-Jane S3 Virge VGA card to me. I used to have a stack of the things once upon a time. Should work with most Amiga PCI solutions.
