Hi everyone,
So as i said in a thread in wanted hardware. I received a defective adapter and it fried my mobo. Now i will receive a new plain A1200 and I just received an IDE adpater. First of all i have now a new adapter with a molex power plug intergarted to it, to be sure I have to connect it to the mobo IDE interface the way that the molex connector get connected to last 2 pins (41 and 42 - those closer to the center of the board). Then the ribbon have to have the red marker going to the inside (the center) of the amiga 1200 mainborad.
Another question can a defective IDE connector "frie" the MMU or/and the CPU on a Blizzard IV 1230@50 card?

Thanks in advance for your help

hi what do you want to use a cf or 40pin 3.5 hd

amiga ide port

http://www.ntrautanen.fi/computers/hardware/misc/amiga_ide.htm

check your blizzard on its own without the ide adapter to test it

the best option for cf adapter is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-CF-Compact-Flash-to-IDE-44-pin-2-5-Female-HDD-Adapter-Converter-/190694763470?pt=UK_Computing_Drive_Cables_Adapters&hash=item2c664b2bce

or with a cable

cable

cf adapter

are you using one of these

I want to connect a CF card. I have this kind of connector: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/44-Pin-2-5-IDE-to-40-Pin-3-5-IDE-HDD-Cable-Adapter-/261054440303?pt=US_Drive_Cables_dapters&hash=item3cc80ea36f

I need one that allows to connect a second device, in my case a CD-ROM.

And for the Blizzard what kind of procedures to take to verify that it's OK?
PS. Pin 1 is the first left pin when your looking from right to left. (from FDD to PCMCIA port). That's correct?

Jumping onto an old thread, to add a 2nd cf card, from a 40pin ide power to a 44 pin adapter (from a fast ata) using one of these that johnim mentioned, how would I go about connecting power, cant seem to fine a floppy power splitter with a molex on it to power it, noticed amigakit have the floppy splitter for power, but cant seem to find a floppy to molex adapter?

Anyone any ideas?

Start a support ticket, as we have Molex to floppy/Molex connectors.
