I remember having a similar laptop for college years ago! I'm interested but would like to know a few things first:

1. How bad is the screens response time regarding motion blur? I'm not expecting it to be brilliant, but hopefully it's not a blurry mess when running old games :D

2. Does the screen have large black borders when running games? My old one used to and i never found out how to get rid of them!

3. Do you know if the built in audio is sound blaster compatible? I had a pre-MMX Compaq Presario (or Armada) laptop which had some kind of SB Pro clone (good enough for me :)).

Cheers

Hopefully the screen is a bit better at handling motion than the Compaq i used to have years ago (which was an older non-MMX Pentium) :).

Any more news on this? I think the ESS sound chip is SB Pro compatible which is fine... Just need to know what the screen is like when it comes to some retro gaming :). Hopefully it doesn't get too blurry or have big black borders.

Thanks for the links! It's good that the sound works in DOS and it scales to full screen. It looks like there's quite a bit of motion blur, but i'm not sure if it's the camera or Youtube clip making it look worse than it really is? Did it look ok to you when you were playing it? I don't mind some blur (as to be expected with an old screen), but too much makes me a bit nauseous!

Cheers

Arrived today and well packaged .

The laptop looks immaculate! Definitely the best looking example i've seen with PC hardware this old (must be around 16-17 years old by now?). The screen is ok, but it's definitely showing it's 'old tech' age (a bit too blurry for faster games, but i half expected that anyway :D).

Leaving feedback now
