I've put my weight down on mjnurney's spectrum+. But as someone who wonder why englishmen hated joysticks (Neither my acorn nor this spectrum has joystick ports), wonders just as much on what joystick adapter to get.

I'd like two player option since there is a very remote chance i get to play with someone, but how many games was two player? ;) so suggestions on one player ones would be nice as well.

And of course how to make loading games as least painful as possible.

Also, the RAM Turbo (http://www.the-liberator.net/site-files/retro-games/hardware/RAM-Turbo-for-Sinclair-Spectrum-ZX/ram-turbo-sinclair-spectrum-zx.htm) is a good choice. I have one of those.
