Hello to all!
I am using the UAE emulator under Linux, is it in any way possible to rip the .mod (or wathever) files from the game?

Yes, you need to use a music ripper like Jack the Riupper (http://aminet.net/mus/misc/JackTheRip140.lha).

Basically, load the game. then quit to Wb or reset and boot with no startup-sequence using the early boot menu (hold LMB and RMB(or is it just right?) when booting)

it is important not to load anything that will overwrite the mods in memory

then load jtr at cli and search the memory for mod files, it will find alot of junk, but you might be lucky! if you find something you can save it to HD!

read the docs or use the help "JTR ?"

I used to rip mods with that tool, but don't rely on it very much.

I have used these before:

http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/ar-pro3

http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/afilter114

I can't link to the AR manual but look on KG's site. He has the manual in a section on there.

Good luck

Get yourself Pro Wizard by Gryzor off Aminet. It can find mod's in disk images made with dms and adf and can also find mods in exe files.

Thanks! :)

I will try it today! I want to extract the MOD music from PACMANIA :) but it seems is not possible because a custom driver routine (Ben Daglish's) is used :(.

A lot of Amiga music has been ripped already and can be found on the ExoticA website.
The Pac-Manic music can be found here: http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Pac-Mania

Another good MOD ripper is ExoticRipper (http://aminet.net/mus/misc/exoticripper33.lha).
It has a nice GUI and is easy to use.
