Im still most likely wanting it, but I really need to check out a few things 1st (my bank balance for starters :)). It's currently late night/early morning here, so I'll have to get back to you tomorrow (later today). If you want to open it back up for others fair enough, but Id appreciate it if youre able (and willing) to wait for me to get back to you tomorrow night (roughly 18 hours from now).

Thanks.

Nothing yet (dang, I was hoping today, oh well)..
Almost trashed my OS getting ready tho...

I noticed Nemac IV supports it, so I went to DL it and set it up for testing.
I found a 4 disk adf set, so I grabbed it on my PC..
I went to use AmiTradeCenter to transfer them to my Amiga..
But, when I went to transfer, GURU. Restart, and file corruption!!! ;-(
Luckily, I have QuarterBack Tools (original) and it cleaned it up nicely.

So, glitch with the file system (FFS I think, set it up awhile ago) or AmiTradeCenter?
I'm think it has to do with the filename, but I'm not trying it again.
I renamed them to short names and it worked great.

File names were:
nemac_iv_(1996)(zentek)(disk_1_of_4)[hd]-amiga.adf
etc..
So, something about the characters? Just too long?
Just a fluke?

I'll be more careful next time.

Anyway, I now have DoomAttack and Nemac IV ready for testing. ;-)

Ah! According to this site: http://www.gregdonner.org/os35faq/diskfileoperation.html#1
..it could well have been just too long... FFS max is 30 characters..

Hi Desiv,

please keep me informed, i send it on a 5 day service so i would have thought you would have it by now, where does the tracking number say it is?

cheers, Justin

Oh, I'm not worried. And it reached the US pretty quickly.
It still says:
"Your item, posted on 17/10/12 with reference <ref #> has arrived in KENNEDY NEW YORK and is being processed for delivery."

My guess is it will say that until it's delivered. ;-)

Homeland is probably trying to figure out what kind of dangerous tech is being shipped from the UK... ;-)

I'll let you know if it shows up... (or if something changes)

Well, the good news is that it arrived..
Well, packed.

Thanx...

(SCRATCH EVERYTHING BELOW!! IT WORKS!!! JUST THE SOFTWARE I USED TO TEST DIDN'T!! It WORKS!!!)
Bad news for me, it doesn't actually seem to work...

I tried Nemac IV and DoomAttack and my A1200 behaves as tho the Graffiti isn't there..

Well, that happens when you buy used items...

I'll keep poking at it and see if I can get lucky...

Thanx again,

desiv
p.s. I am trying it with a 1084s. Removed everything that might draw power (MAS and floppy drive, still have my Accel). Everything works, except the display appears as it would with no Graffiti.
I tried booting my Amiga into PAL mode just in case, but same display...
I did notice that one of the little ceramic capacitors (the one that you can see thru the hole in the case to get to the jumper) is chipped. If it is using the ceramic as part of the electronics, I suppose that could be part of the problem.
I noticed that when I first saw it and there's nothing rattling in the unit or the box.. Weird...
Maybe this will become an electronic project...

did you set the jumper and install the software?

i know it doesn't work with an LCD, but should work with a real monitor.

is the image crisp? if the info is being passed through the Graffiti doesn't that mean it works?

As i said at the begining, i don't have a monitor so i couldn't use it:(

sending a PM regarding a refund:thumbsup:

Just getting into testing...
No refund..

I have lots to do still....

I thought I had the software installed, but I'll try it again..

It could very well be me.. ;-)

I was working on my Arcade machine (that also doesn't work.. I sense a theme), so I haven't done much more than plug and play...

Well, erase all of that..
It does work...
Yay!!!

Neither DoomAttack or Nemac IV work...

But there were some demos on the floppy disk (in a directory without a .info so I had to view all to see it) and those demos work!!!!

In fact, they work thru my GBS-8200 on the LCD too.. (tried that after the 1084s was working).

Not sure why the games don't work..
(Although I seem to remember someone else posting somewhere about not being able to get a game to work with the Graffiti)

I wonder if it's a PAL/NTSC Amiga thing. I know PAL displays fine on my 1200, but maybe the timing is much more specific and something is not quite right...

If I had known about the demo directory (why no .info!!!), I would have tested that first..

Sorry for the scare..

Oh well, I'll do some more testing to see if I can get it working with the games..
(Interesting, I booted with no startup-sequence and tried DoomAttack. It still didn't work, but it looked different.)

But, in summary..

It WORKS! ;-)

p.s. I almost forgot! I left positive feedback! (I remembered before the mods reminded me!! Yay me!) ;-)
