Evening all

I'm on the lookout for a TRS 80 CoCo model I or II in fairly good nick, Manuals would also be appreciated along with any Program PAKS or Tapes.
PAL 220-240 V only.

If you have a CoCo I with std Basic rather than Extended that's fine as I can replace the ROM..

Dragon 32 / 64 's also considered too.

Many Thanks

TC :)

Hey Bas!

I've got a CoCo 2 but it's NTSC. Let me know if you're interested. :)

Take care,

Heather

Hi Heather

Thanks for the kind offer, as expected the USA is flooded with old CoCo's but I really need a PAL 230V version...
I'm sure the shipping costs would also be a nightmare...

My first choice would be a CoCo I or II but failing that a Dragon 32/64 would do,, It's the 6809 based system I'm really after :shhh:

Many Thanks again....

TC :)

A couple of Dragon 32s went on eBay for less than *** apiece, just this weekend. (I know because one of them is on its way to me soon, I hope!).

I would've thought they'd be falling out of the trees where you live?

Dragon Data was, after all, a Welsh company wasn't it?

Why the interst in that particular CPU? What've you got planned?

@UKRetroGamer

Sorry I had to edit the price out of your post as it can be construed as price driving. :)

@Bas

I totally understand. :) I just thought I'd offer. I hope you find one soon.

Take care,

Heather

Heather, Many Thanks again my dear.

@UK

I've got plans for creating a pseudo 6809 2nd Processor for the Acorn BBC Tube interface...see if I can port OS9 over..

I'm not sure what you mean by "price driving". I'm not selling anything - merely pointing out that Dragon Micros haven't been particularly expensive just recently on other auction sites.

@TheCorfiot: Hope you find one soon. That sounds like an interesting project. I'm just awaiting delivery of a "Beeb-SID board". Another promising Acorn-related project which involves gutting a C64 (sacrilege?) for its famous sound-chip and re-purposing it in a more "flexible" Micro...

Owning 2 Acorn BBC B's and 3 Electrons, I'd be interested to hear more on your project - you'll need to let us know the gory details when you're ready to spill the beans... :whistle:

@UK

Yep,,, Good ole Tom Walker & MartinB over on Stairway to Hell...

MartinB is a thouroughly nice chap with some serious Skills & Tom is well known for his Emulators & his ability to come up with projects outside of the Box too..

Thanks for the Heads up on the Dragon,,,, I hope Heather's PM has answered your concerns, tbh I would have done the same had I come across it first, The edit is meant in good spirit to abide with our policies, It's not meant in a scolding way at all, The staff here are very friendly and here to help.

TC :)

BTW Most Beeb's were produced a few miles from where I live too.

I have a TRS80 Color Computer II

I have the computer, a "Introducing your colour computer" booklet and a "Getting Started with Colour Basic" book.

Am looking to trade if possible for a BBC model B - although a working model B motherborad would suffice.

Hi fb

Seems we both eventually found this thread in the end :lol:

I am indeed interested in the CoCo, would be happy to discuss via PM.
Do you know if it is an 'Extended' or 'Std' Color Basic model ;)
Some piccies maybe nice, we always like hardware pr0n on here...:lol:

Regarding Model B boards, the only spare I currently have is an Issue 3 which I was planning on hacking with the CoCo in an attempt to get the 6809 talking accross the tube....Let me have a thinky

The Model Number is 26-3134A which according to wikipedia makes it a 16K Standard model.

Here are a few pickies of it. (sorry about the quality)

Cheer's for the reply and piccies fb :thumbsup:

Not bad looking CoCo, I've got the firmware so could program an Extended Basic Eprom for it...

Having been through my Acorn bit's & pieces, I can't let the Issue 3 board go as it is all I have regarding spares & as mentioned it would be used as the 6809 tube testbed.

However, I can offer

A fully working Electron setup, ElK + PSU + All Manuals / books + Welcome pack.
If you are interested I can put some piccys up...

In any case please do hit me up on PM regarding how much you wish to sell the CoCo for.

Regards
TC :)

Many Thanks again my friend,

I have to start brushing up on my 6809E assembler now as the Tandy ROM will need to be replaced with custom TUBE firmware.

Best Wishes
