Upgrading an already installed Classicwb to 3.1

Im currently using ClassicWb Adv iirc, installed with Workbnch 3.0, if I was to install workbench 3.1 from floppy to my cf card, will It keep my settings?

The reason I ask is last time I set up a compact flash card with 3.1, I couldnt get my pcmcia to work, and after more reading it should still work with 3.1 as long as my roms stay at 3.0.

Or will I have to start from scratch again, in which case I might as well leave it until I get a bigger compact flash card to go in it.

I can't understand exactly what you mean, but Kickstart 3.1 has an issue (never tried but from what I know) with PCMCIA usage due to the carddisk.device when in combination with accelerators with 8MB of RAM.
To update a ClassicWB installation from WB3.0 to WB3.1, I guess copying the contents from the disks (overwriting the 3.0 ones) using DOpus would be really easy

Just don't replace your startup-sequence nor he user-startup and you'll be safe.
