Hi All,

Is there any issues with running jumperless 80pin scsi drives with a Bliz SCSIKit.. Think the only issue is making sure the adapter for 80pin to 50pin has proper termination..

80pin jumperless drives seem to be the only go for 2nd hand ebay drives.

Datasheet of drive I've been looking at - http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support/disc/iguides/scsi/savvio_ig.pdf

Any catch-22's regarding supported SCSI drives?

Doubt it will be a problem

Doubt it will be a problem

I use them exclusively on my CSPPC without issue and the A4091 built into the A4000T does well with them. Just make sure that the SCSI Bus is terminated properly. The SCA-80 drives whether U160 or U320 are so fast, the speed will be limited to your Bus.

Thanks for the fast response..

Yeah I noticed on ebay that its hard to find terminated adapters.. Found some elsewhere but have to buy in bulk of 10 units ha!

Cheers!

Thats a good point! but that woud require 2x to terminate both ends of the cable.

I did find a 80/50 pin adapter with termination but have to buy 10 units! Wonder if other forum members need them then that would justify buying 10 units.
