I am just imagining what all the other members are thinking at this point =)
so yes.... to assist..
the feedback you are getting could be from a poor connection, or more specifically a weak cross connection.
as we disgussed on the phone, give it a good clean an dry... test it, if you still have problems, then test it isolated by using the batteries if you can.
If the battery hookup works with no feedback then we can look at cleaning the power input to the device.
If however theres still feed back with the battery isolation, then we will need to dig a bit further =)
