If one of the A1200's has kickstart 3.1 roms then I would be very interested in that. But it would depend on how much the postage would cost. If you could find out and PM me the postage details so I can decide that would be great.

Also if you have any boxed Amiga games complete with manuals please let me know as I've always hunting for them for classicamiga to scan in for the site.

Please let me know :D - I'd like to finally come to a conclusion as this has been going on for 4 months now.

Hi mate: first, my best wishes to your sister. Hopes she gets well quick...

I feel somekind of "guilty", if you know what i mean, by offering you $$ under this circumstance but... if thats helps you...

I would love to buy that A600 you have if you havent sold already

I live in Argentina (far away, i know) but i wouldnt mind waiting a couple of months to have it, if you can send it cheapest way possible...
I can pay with Pay Pal if thats fine with you...

Best wishes

Sebastian

Anyone heard or received anything from Doug recently?

16th May 2008, 12:15
@ All

We are temporarily closing this thread for now. The reason for is that we are aware that DoogUK is attending to a family emergency, and I think we would all agree that family comes first. We are also aware that DoogUK has not logged in since 8th May and this may be because he does not have an internet connection where he is now.

@ DoogUK

Please contact a Mod or Admin (when you can) if you need this thread re-opened; in the meantime the Amibay team send our best wishes to you and your family.

We now have an update for you all about DoogUK.

DoogUK has been heavily committed to supporting his sister through a crisis over the last few weeks. As a result of this, he has (quite rightly) not logged onto the message boards as he has had higher priorities.

As a result of this feedback, I have now unlocked this thread again.

@ DoogUK

My heartfelt condolences go out to you on the loss of a close family member, my thoughts are with you.

Merlin, Doug's sister's situation has not improved... It's terminally worsened. She didn't survive the last operation she had.
Thoughts and sympathies with Doug and his family. Regarding all those dealing with Doug, he's going to try to sort commitments out in the coming weeks.

Condolances. Recently lost my sister to lung cancer. But she beat the doctor's estimate by over a year and led a full life in her home with her kids til the end. She had faith and it was slow and non painful, so it wasn't as bad as my first loss somehow.

Is it in good condition or yellowed? Then email me, I'm interested.

I think i'm going to have to check these keyboards out first as i'm not sure what they are, i have 3 amiga keyboards..1 marked a3000 with the larger din plug, one with the smaller din plug marked commodore part no 365266-06 and model number kpr-e96yc...i'm guesssing this is the 4000 keyboard.

the last one is definately an a2000 as its marked a2000/a2000hd/a2500.

Can anyone shed some light if this is infact a 4000 keyboard as i dont own a 4000.

crispywotsits
8th July 2008, 14:48
Yes, indeed it is an A4000 keyboard - a quick google search revealed this page:

http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardw ... HARDID=649 (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=649)

DoogUK

The label is totaly different and it doesnt have the large din..its the smaller din that looks like a ps2 connector.

crispywotsits
8th July 2008, 15:33
Unfortunately, I don't know for sure then. I currently have a PS/2 style PC keyboard attached to my A1200 with a PS/2 adapter - this works fine.

Can anyone confirm if this will work with a PS/2 adapter in an A1200?

DoogUK
8th July 2008, 16:15
i can now confirm it is an a4000d keyboard with the small adapter...the a4000t uses the larger din connector.

The keyboard is not compatible with a standard ps2 port.

crispywotsits
8th July 2008, 18:11
Sorry DoogUk, I was unaware it wasn't compatible - thanks anyways for your help!
