Looking for an accelerator for my A500. '020 or '030. Motherboard style, not sidecar, although I may be interested in a GVP A530. Prefer one with 32-bit fast ram. Not the Viper because it's hard drive sled would block my Indivision. Am located in North America, so units on this side of the pond would be preferable. Picky, I know, just hoping something is out there! ;)

I have a VXL-30 with RAM-32 board. Would have to check speed and ram, think it is 68EC030/25 with 2mb on the RAM-32.

Link here http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/vxl30

Tested working, no bent pins etc, good shape, can take pictures etc if you are interested, might take me a few days though.

Anyways, send me a PM if interested (y)

Thanks @DutchinUSA!

The VXL-30 is definitely a coveted board and I'm rather envious of you, however from looking at some pics of it it appears way too large to fit inside an A500 with the Indivision. :( *sad face*

I would have this problem:

From researching on amiga.resource.cx it appears that the only boards that might work correctly are the Harms Professional 030 Plus or the M-Tec / Neuroth models. Anybody?

you can use pin headers to raise the board a bit more, unless it gets in the way of the keyboard as well that is.

Installed Indivision ECS & VXL-30 + Ram32 in amiga 500 the other day to see how it all would fit together.

Used one cpu riser and everything seemed to fit fine (y)

I will post some pics tonight or tomorrow night :)

Gotta hate seeing the dust when you take pics (n)

The paper you see between the VXL-30 & the Indivision is the paper (not sure what it is officially called) you find inside equipment between electronics and the metal case :)

And as I mentioned in PM, 68000 for compatibility fallback mode stays in and the kickstart (think it's 2.04).

Hi @DutchinUSA!

Got the VXL installed this morning before work, my girlfriend wouldn't let me spend any quality time with my *cough cough* other girlfriend last night, heh. ;)

Install went easy, bit of a tight fit over the Megachip (I put a square of that thin packing foam between the two) but seems like case should be able to close up fine. Got a visit from the guru when I tried to power it up but I think that's the 030 conflicting with something in my WBStartup drawer (or maybe the WBStartup+ utility itself, since Workbench starts to load). It may also be power-related, since I'm running all this off the stock A500 power brick, LOL. I was able to boot with no startup sequence and everything was stable, so I think just need a little fine-tuning on my apps now. ;)

Great speed improvement, even gave a little boost to my CF card, went from 1,900KB/sec to over 2,000KB. Also that 68882 I ordered went in just fine and is being detected. Just waiting on the custom Indivison ECS extension cable Kipper2K is making for me (to run the Indivision output over underneath the floppy drive) and I'll be able to button the case back up. :)

Here's some photos:
