Hi.

I would like to check what is happening at home when we are away.

I'm looking for a good and reliable cam, compatible with WiFi and Android. Preferably two of them and easy to config and access from the internet.

There are a lot of brands and models. It's difficult to choose.

Anyone here experienced with them?

Thanks.

ive just done exactly the same

i set it up on my windows laptop and viewed the image from my iphone.

easy , quick and simple. view the images via the phone app

however you have to pay £3 or something to download the ios app

mike :)

Does your cam have to be connected to a computer?
I'm more after a stand alone cam than can work on a long period of time when i'm on holidays, with of course all computers off.
Besides, i don't have a computer that might stay stable during 15 days or more without crashing, except probably my A1200 but i think it won't do with broadcasting the cam :)

i recently installed 3 lorex security camera systems in my brother's businesses.

they start at about $200, you can get models that come with DVRs, the ones i installed connected directly to the router and were accessible via the lorex servers via a web browser, and they also have mobile apps. (for phones and tablets)

they did take a little bit to set up, but werent too bad... (you have to set up the system, your router (just exposing the ports really) and your lorex account and system online)

i am not sure about thier availability there tho...

(they appear to presently be 18% off as well)
