Hi

I am looking for a SCSI controller to fit an A500/+, or possibly even a Squirrel SCSI adapter for the A600/1200. I was watching one tonight on a certain auction site and one of my nemeses (Airey36) nabbed it :x .

Crabfists over at EAB kindly gave me a free 4x Panasonic SCSI CD-ROM drive in an external case, but I don't have the controller to match it. I have the SCSI Centronics to 25-pin D-shell cable with it, though.

Does anyone have one going for a reasonable price; I assume that once Airey36 bundles an A1200, a CD-ROM and some games with it he will want seventy bazillion quid for it, so I am not going there.... :evil:

Does anyone have just the Squirrel cable and software that they no longer need?

Thanks

M

Fraggles got a Surf Squirrel on here for sale :mrgreen:

Failing that I've got an original Squirrel, boxed with manuals and software.

All in good nick

OK, I am sitting down with my price-sensitive sunglasses on. How much would you want for the original Squirrel?

As long as it works I am happy, the condition of the box does not sex me up TBH, although the purist fanboys will insist on a mint box with no marks (Gawd, this stuff could be up to 15 years old, do they still have Matchbox cars in the original boxes, unplayed with, because they are so anal? Sheesh...).

Working software is always a good thing though :)

Surf Squirrels don't work with A600s, if memory serves. A1200s are OK with them though.

Well at least you're sitting down - that's a good start :lol:

There's currently a Surf Squirrel on the bay at the minute with 15 hrs to go at 30 although that does include a CD Rom drive.

Fraggle wants 35 for his Surf + P&P

I thought mine was worth about 30 including UK postage.

Seems a bit steep to me; how about 25, is there any haggling room on the price?

@Merlin

There's always room to haggle :D

Split the difference and we'll call it a deal :)

OK, I get paid in a couple of days, can you put it to one side for me?

Thanks :wink:

Hi mate,

Just checked the old finances and they have taken a right battering with the fuel and other price rises, unfortunately I will have to pass on your offer as the funds aren't available.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. :oops:

@Merlin

No problems - I'll stick it on Fleabay when I get a chance :wink:
