Looking to replace broken floppy drive on my Macintosh Classic II. Needs to be a 20pin apple 1.44mb drive with no front bezel.

I think i have the floppy from my sodomized Color Classic. I'm sure it's a 1,44 motorized eject model, just not sure if it's compatible with your Classic II.
I'll try to dig it up tomorrow and post pictures..

Okay still looking, i'd like a working drive and preferably from the UK as postage is just cheaper that way. I think any 1.44mb 20 pin drive will work as long as its without a bezel on front.

Dunno if any 20-pin drive will work or not, but as i said in our PMs i simply can't test it due to my Color Classic being busted. I'd probably decide the same if i were in your shoes. Good luck finding one. :thumbsup:

Kieran, I have got a drive from a Macintosh Quadra 650, fully working, which should work in your Classic. I can post photos if you want. I am in UK so shipping should not be a problem. Are you interested? PM sent

The drive i had was an auto drive, im pretty sure that a manual drive will work as long as its a SuperDrive and i dont have a PCI system so im good.
