Hello everyone

i opened one A2000 for clean up, and i noticed that it has a strange aid-on. It is soldered and can not be removed. Seems to be from factory. Motherboard revision is 6.2, the aid on PCB is near rom socket. It is between rom socket and the 8 chip that give the 1MB chip ram.

What is this PCB? i checked some photos from internet and i see that there is no A2000 motherboard with this extra PCB on it. Is this some kind of upgrade? Did someone ever encounter this PCB?
thanx:p

Nothing special. It only fixes the timings from the memory chips. Obviously a hero from Commodore bought some cheap memory chips, these were not fully compatible, so they needed an additional board.

Is this from the factory?
Commodore choose wrong chips, and then try to fix the bug with that board?
Why i can not find any other board with that fix?
It seems that i am unlucky

I never wondered about this, but my 6.2 also has it.

Nope, there a lot of 6.x boards with that.

What a relief, i am not so unlucky finally, it seems that the are other boards with that bug fix.
