It's basically the same as an A500 with the A570 CD drive. Definitely a Miggy.

I just call them CDTVs, but what I think they are is a cool looking Amiga 68-oh-woah-woah! with a CD-ROM drive that's pretending to fit in with the VideoCD player market, without actually being able to play VideoCDs.

Strangely, and quite awesomely, they have MIDI built in too.

However, my answer is still yes. CDTV is Amiga.

PS. Awesome CDTV my friend! I'm a black monitor away from a completeish CDTV.

...I say completeish, because I often consider increasing the memory and fitting a CF card too.

It's an Amiga, even though theres no mention of the word of it anywhere. Same way the "SRT-10" is still a "Viper" even though it doesn't have the word anywhere on that either.

It smells like an Amiga, it sounds like an Amiga, it behaves like an Amiga, it has a kickstart like an Amiga... CDTV IS an Amiga :)

What's the first thing you say when you see a CDTV?
Amiga or CDTV?
A CD32 is not an Amiga either. They are compatible with an Amiga. :p
Amiga is a computer.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit and would compare it to the motor industry.

Volkswagon own Rolls Royce.

However, the Queen would still refer to it as her 'Rolls', and any attempt to describe it as a Volkswagon would be met with penalties both furious and cruel

...probably

...Okay, they probably wouldn't

But! But! Describe her CDTV as an Amiga... Okay, I'll shut up

It's Volkswagen actually... The 'people's car'... ;)

Commodore says it is an Amiga CDTV.
