Howdy,

Have the following A500 peripherals to offer

A) A570 CD-ROM SOLD outside Amibay
Put it away in working order some years ago, don't have a caddy to test it, so selling it as-is.
Missing logo badge. No PSU included.

Comes with a 40mb HDD and 8mb RAM. No PSU included.
74 euro

C) External SCSI case with CD-ROM drive
Flicked it on to test it, powered on, but died after 30 seconds.
Presume i fried the power supply, no wish to test further: selling it as faulty.
Drive bay is removable.

24 euro

D) Big external SCSI drive enclosure (+ drive) and A500 side expansion SOLD to TorajaBoy
Seems to belong together, judging by the somewhat narrow dsub connector/plug.
Selling it as faulty, A500 would not boot when connected. Drive spins up, in a loud fashion.
Zero will to test it any further.

Wish me good luck to find an MFM HD Drive now. I know well this seagate model I had one in my first Atari PC computer. MFM technology were most reliable than the fragile RLL controler
Good memories

If it's of any help, item D is not actually a SCSI interface/disk. As i happen to have one for my A1000, it's the same as this one: http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/amigoshd
The hard disk in the external case is of the MFM type.
Thanks for the info, never seen this one before. (as could have been derived from the lack of knowledge on the matter!)
I could have sworn it came with one of the A500 units :D

Allready order a Seagate ST255 20 MB HDD at a cheap price, just hope that it doesn't have too many bad sectors! Ahhh Nostalgia it was my first HDD! But it went dead and I replaced it by a second 5"1/4 360ko Floppy drive. I didn't know about the master and slave jumper settings! I was only 14 or 15 years old. It's how I started my carrer as Computer technician a lot of good souvenirs! heheheh Some bad too I killed my first i386 clone PC. I did'nt know about assembling a PC. A lot of jumper for the CPU Voltage, Frequency, IRQ settings, I/O Adressing It was a really technician job but on Amiga it was allready automatic reconized. What a wonderfull technology compare to PC!! Many years in advance

No problemo, it's not specific to the A1000, it works with the A500 too.
