Two things, 1) It would be helpful to give a slightly better description of what exactly you are trying to do and 2) provide a better picture, the one you provided is very under exposed and it's hard to see where the RAM is. Bet to take it by a winodw in natural daylight, you get far better pics that way.

Edit: From your description I'm guessing that you are using double sided RAM modules, some of these (the taller ones) will not fit on the card, they hit the 030 CPU so you have to use the single sided shorter ones).

RFC 0001 - Blizzard 1230 MK III SIMM socket adjustment

RFC 0001 - Blizzard 1230 MK III SIMM socket adjustment

Blizzard 1230 MK III SIMM socket adjustment

Status of this Memo

This document specifies how to restore Blizzard 1230 MK III SIMM socket to the original angle.

1 The Procedure

The SIMM socket MUST be first desoldered from the Blizzard with a desoldering wick, desoldering gun or similar.
The pins of the SIMM socket MUST be bent back to the original position. Alternatively a new, right angled SIMM socket MAY be used instead, and is RECOMMENDED.
The new or modified SIMM socket MUST be soldered back to the Blizzard. It is RECOMMENDED to verify the solder work before attaching the Blizzard back to the Amiga.
You MAY now use the Blizzard again on a desktop Amiga 1200 with trapdoor closed.

Just out of interest why the heck would the memory socket be soldered on like that in the first place?, surely it would stick out the bottom of the Amiga!

:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL: Very thorough memo hese, I would like to add the following disclaimer:
You MUST have proper tools and EXPERIENCE to do this kind of work. You MUSTN'T scorch or otherwise melt the pcb in any way, and should avoid lifting any pads, as doing so will result to a damaged card.
