Hi All,

Perhaps have you allready seen the threads about the expansions PCB production for the GBA1000 (PICASSO, 68060 accelerator & Mini-Thylacine).
Since I have launch the first batch I had the idea to make a version of the PICASSO graphic board for my A2000 & A4000. :)
Today, I have looked a little bit for new items onto the other bay, and it was a nude Picasso PCB for A500, A 2000 & A4000 for sale!
So, a such version is allready designed! I have searched a little, and I have found a thread onto A1k.org about this new version.:woot:

Here is the link (sorry in German...):
http://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?t=40955

You can take a look at this page in english with pictures taken by Matthias Heinrichs aka Matze and originally posted into his own thread at a1k.org:
http://retrocu.blogspot.fr/2014/09/second-amiga-zorro-card-project.html

Finally, I have decided to launch a batch of PCB production for this new version of the Picasso graphic board.
If you are interested, please, send a post here!

Here is a screenshot of the last version of the Picasso PCB (rev26):

Screenshot - 23112014 - 23:00:57.jpgMain PCB of Picasso graphic board.
4 layers
Dim: 129,52 x 100 mm

Price: 9.65€ without entrance taxes.
Screenshot - 23112014 - 23:11:51.pngVGA PCB board
2 layers
Dim: 82,53 x 19,99 mm

Price: 2.14€ without entrance taxes

To build your Picasso graphic board, you'll need the components list and the JED file for the CPLD IC.
You can download the needed files here:

A500-Graka-2.6.zip

Into the components list, you'll have to change the value of R32 to avoid ghost stripes onto the screen.
The good value of
R32 is: 0 Ohm.

For the 30 Picasso board ordered, I'll pay 289.41€ for the main PCB and 64.14€ for the VGA PCB for 30 units for each.

Is there anyone who could build a completed card for those of us who tend to destroy things with a soldering iron?

Build a complete board means that I need to order all components.
I have ordered all chips for the GBA1000 expansions and it was a big job... and it's not finished. I'm waiting for the PCBs that I'm going to send each board with components.
Well, I'll see. It should be possible.

HI guys
Just seen this tread and would love a complete card what sort of cost are these and is it possible to buy one like this. If not how hard is it to get the GPU chip these days?

Just answered the question about the GPU Cirrus Logic Chip seen a few on line

Many thanks

Al

Add me as interested for 1 board please

Hi, I'm the guy who made this PCB. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I should suggest to wait a bit. This layout still has some minor flaws, the optimized one can be obtained from me for free, but this whole thing is still in beta phase. So far only two PCBs are made and only two rare GBAs and my A500 are tested. I'm launching a beta phase just before Christmas.

You will need a small VGA adapter for interfacing this PCB on a regular Amiga. Again: ask me.

Third and last, the VGA-Chip is VERY hard to solder! You can bend the pins by blowing at them! I'll offer ready soldered expansion boards with warranty soon! The price will be below 200Euro.

Best regards

Matthias Heinrichs aka Matze

Hi Matthias,

Thanks a lot for your message, and mostly thanks a lot for your great work!(y)

Just a precision to be clear, I have opened this thread to produce the PCBs to obtain the lowest price possible for all interested members (and me!).
Like for the GBA1000 expansions (parcel is arrived at TOULOUSE in France this night... not sure I'll have today, and tomorrow is a public holiday.),
I don't make that to make money, I will make no profit.

I suppose this is the little PCB included into the archive? If yes, I didn't speak about it into the thread since it's a very little PCB.

Third and last, the VGA-Chip is VERY hard to solder! You can bend the pins by blowing at them! I'll offer ready soldered expansion boards with warranty soon! The price will be below 200Euro.

I have actually more than 20 GPU at home for the GBA1000 Picasso! Indeed, the pins are breakable. Thank you for the information. If there are members interested, they can contact you.
Me, I'd really like to assemble by myself. I have already assemble my GBA1000 and I have soldered ICs with same pitch like Xilinx chips.
I hope to begin this week the GBA expansions (if PCBs will be delivered!)

Best regards

Matthias Heinrichs aka Matze

I hope I will not annoy you if I contact you. I like very much a1k.org, but this great site has a very big default... It's in German... and it's a real barrier for the International Amiga fans!
The German scene has really been always active for the Amiga, and the a1k.org is the proof!

Best regards,
Franck.

I'm on vacation right now. Could you wait until your order until the 21st. Perhaps I'll order some PCBs for my beta test... And you are sure to order the latest version, which might get a nice case for the A500 :).

Regards Matthias

Please do me one favour: the guy from the second link just took my pictures in his site. These pics are in my thread as swell. Please clearify this in your first post.

I wish you good vacations!

Of course, no problem!

And you are sure to order the latest version, which might get a nice case for the A500 :).

Normally yes. I have downloaded the rev25.
I have seen that you also have a project of case for the A500. Very good idea!

It's done!

Interested in one pcb! Another great project :)

Yep! You're in the table!
All credit goes to Matthias Heinrichs (Matze)!:)

For sure, it is great that Matze has done this and shared the files! (y)

I'm hoping one day someone will reverse engineer a big box 060 accelerator like the cyberstorm! :woot::woot::woot::woot:
