I'd say it's Alan Hourihane's IDE adapter. http://www.freemint.org/ide/ide.html

I've got one and I've been very happy with it.

it was released in May 2014, if memory doesn't fail me... great firmware. It reads an usb pen drive like an hard drive without install any driver :)

Well, you can go to atari-forum, and ask if he has one to sale, I think he is developing a version for the falcon...

Alan's IDE needs TOS 2.06
Ultrasatan and CosmosEx uses ACSI, so TOS 1.04 or better is good enough.

Alan's IDE is cheaper but more difficult to install: You need to plug it above the CPU...so if you remove it maybe the STe won't work. But...it is awesome because you can install 4 devices. He is now working on an upgraded version with Alt RAM on it and real time clock.

Ultrasatan is good enough as a HDD because you can work with 2 SD cards at the time and you can have it as an external device (you can use it on different machines).

The last one is CosmosEX that is much more than a HDD but it is the most expensive....but impressive too. You should read a user guide to know its full features and capabilities: http://info-coach.fr/atari/documents/_mydoc/CosmosEx_Users_Guide.pdf
