The image quality of my Amstrad CPC 6128+ on my Sony PVM is terrible, can anyone help or suggest anything?

I've replaced the home made cable with one from CoolNovelties but the image quality is the same. Strangely it looks fine on my Pioneer Plasma TV

And the Sony PVM looks fine with every other consoles. These were taken in the last week with the Oric, RGB modded NES and C64.

Not quite sure where to start looking

I notice on the CPCWiki page near the bottom they say additional resistors might be needed as "The voltage/brightness output by the CPC is actually higher than normal SCART voltages".
