Hey guys!
I have for sale an Apollo 1240 accelerator with full 68040 (FPU and MMU) clocked at 40MHz, complete with a 32Mb RAM SIMM, in fully working order. I've fitted it with a brand new battery (VL2020) as the original one looked like it would've started leaking, and a brand new fan also - the one it came with was tired and sometimes wouldn't start up without a gentle nudge. Needless to say, the new one is fine
This 1240's in lovely condition, very clean and obviously cared for, and best of all it's *UPGRADABLE TO A FULL 68060*! I decided not to do that job myself (I believe the 68040's far more compatible generally, and didn't want to trash good hardware!) but if you want to have it done stachu has already seen the card and confirmed he is able to upgrade it.
Currently SysInfo reports 29.96Mips 7.6MFlops 28709 Dhrystones, and a 1.57x increase in speed over a stock A4000 Picture added below, Sorry for the rubbish CRT photo!
It'll come very safely packaged, in anti-static bag and foam-packed box, with a printed copy of the original manual as seen in the pics. It won't fit in the 1200's trapdoor due to the height of the fan and heatsink so you will need a towered 1200 to use it.
The driver disk for the '060 version (plus some info about the 1240) is available here:

We only bought it a few weeks ago, but unfortunately discovered the Apollo 1240's are incompatible with Micronik busboards just after purchasing! So I'm offering this 1240 to a new home at the price we paid for it, plus the cost of the battery and fan.
I'm asking 273 GBP (I paid 266 for it) via Paypal, with buyer to pay Paypal charges, plus shipping. I'm willing to send overseas, please ask me for a shipping quote and I'll get one for you ASAP.
I really might regret this sale! But this great example deserves being used and enjoyed by someone, not sat in a drawer until I own a Mediator!
