Sold Commodore SX-64

Howdy all,

Lack of real estate and funds have finally driven me to the decision of brutally trimming down my collection of old computers and keep the focus on consoles and handhelds only. Over the coming weeks, i'll list most of my digital children here. These have all been part of my collection for the past 2 to 3 years, and have always been stored well (dry, warm, wrapped, neatly tied cables, etcetera). I've only been collecting working specimens, and have tested them before they went into storage. Before shipping, i will of course confirm that they still work. I'll test the AV out and keyboard, if buyer wants me to test any further, i'm open for suggestions. Lack software and peripherals for many systems though.

On to the main course, today's offer is a Commodore SX-64. It is equipped with a speeddos chip (switch at the rear of the unit), and is in good working condition. Cosmetically also in quite nice shape, although there are some minor marks of course. And, no surprise here, the handlebar caps are dead or nearly there. Fellow Amibayer merlin1968 supplied me with some 3D printed replacement caps (blue), and they are included in the sale. Also comes with a power lead and the keyboard cable.

Pulled out the beast for some testing, gutted about the results

The beast boots fine (both regular and Speeddos Plus), but the keyboard is having issues. Some keys are slightly unresponsive, others don't work at all. And some are very trigger happy. Nothing unrepairable of course, but it can be anything ranging from a dying keyboard cable, dirty connectors, IO to CPU board connection (would have expected more quirkyness in this case though), could even be as simple as reseating the CIA chips. Don't know.
At the moment, i'm really not up for any time investment on the goods, i really need them gone, so i've lowered the price to 270 euro, considering the abovementioned faults.

El_pasi was looking for a fully working specimen, with no repairs or work required, and as such withdrew interest. Item available again.
If interest fades completely i will reconsider repairing it once the dust clears. (dust being a shedload of computers occupying my entire apartment

)
