Hi,
Commodore Amiga A4000 040 in a black tower for sale
Motherboard version is Rev B
Has 3.1 roms installed
cpu is an 040 @ 25MHZ board is an A3640 rev 3.1
There is a Buudda flash pheonix IDE card installed
IDE Fix ide splitter with IDEFix97 installed
Compact flash to IDE card with a 512MB CF card (perfect for transferring files from PC)
Digital Processing Systems TDC card rev 4
Video toaster card
Original floppy drive
DVD drive
CDRW drive
4GB HDD
2MB chip ram and 16MB fast ram
OS3.9 installed
Mouse, Keyboard and joystick
PC ATX power supply
Battery had leaked but has caused no damage and has been replaced with a non leaking battery (clock works perfectly)
Scart lead and all cables needed to contect up to power/sound etc.
there are quite a few cds and disks included but I don't know what's on them, so consider as blanks.

Now the TBC and Video toaster have never been tested as I do not have the software/drivers for them and I have never tried to use them as I don't really know what to do with them.
I will include the original A4000 case with an untested A4000 motherboard in it.

We all know that these parts cost a small fortune to buy separately, and good A4000's are getting hard to find, so why not just buy this one all ready to go?
As the photos show this system works perfectly, but due to it's age this is sold as seen. Looking for 300.00 plus shipping collection can also be arranged
all the best JuvUK

That's an awful lot of serious Amiga Hardware for a mere 300.00!

I don't see this hanging around long!

Best of luck JuvUK. :D

Hi ZetrO,
were you joking about the swap?

Zetr0
17th September 2008, 02:16
I most certainly was not joking....

its a most juicy carrot you have there :) I have always wanted an A4000 and a friend is badgering me....

lets see....

I have the following available A1200

A1200
Apollo Mk3 030@40 +40mhz 68881 FPU with 32MB ram *
Kickstart 3.1
IDEFix 97
4GB Compact Flash Module
DVD/CDRW
FDD

*I can add the simm port to fit a further 32MB ram (64MB total) but would only fit in a tower or other custom chassis
as you know the best 030 card for the A1200 is most certainly the Mk4 Blizzard, however the Mk3 Apollo has a 10% faster chip access time, and is rock stable... just a shame about the crappy SCSI to be honest.

so the question is, do you want that in a classic desktop with Laptop DVD/CDRW or in a custom chassis ?
does that interest you good sir... I have the CF Hard disk prepped and running OS3.5 and 3.5GB of WHDLoad yummyness :D

Good Morning Zetro,
to show i'm serious i have ended the bay listing and cancelled all bids.
now on to the nitty gritty m8, what do you mean by custom chassis?
thanks, JuvUK

@Juv

my friend, to show you I am serious, have a look at this custom SBC PC Amithalon chassis :)

introducing the Fantasy Amiga X86 (Fax86 Project)

http://www.guildserver.co.uk/projects/fax86/Image1.jpg

http://www.guildserver.co.uk/projects/fax86/Image4.jpg

>so... want to know more? then click me< (http://www.guildserver.co.uk/projects/main.php?g2_itemId=1204)

now the above is a heavily customized A1200 chassis with an PICMG form factor XP26000 CPU with 1GB of DDR SEC Ram, 80GB HDD, 60GB HDD 4GB CF an with both DVDRW and 1.44 Floppy. Only problem was power, there is currently no Pico PSU or MAXI Psu (SFF PSU's) that can provide enough juice on the +5v (needs 13amps) so its in lue of being finished (fingers crossed :D)

now, I can make a simple internal SFF DVD/CDRW drive mod into an A1200 and have it all looking nice no worries, or if you are interested I could build this into a HTPC chassis (like a DVD Player chassis) which I was planning to do. the job would also include a either 120watt Pico PSU(with 12volt 10amp plugpack) or 200watt micro ATX, with a custom power interface, SFF DVD/CDRW, PS2 Keyboard interface and the rest I mentioned above.

let me know your thoughts m8y

hi,
well i must say i like the idea of getting as much as i can inside a standard case, i still like the original 1200 style (personal choice) and yeah why the hell not? i still like 1200's and you want a A4000, so we both win right!! 8)

so lets sort this thing :P
cheers, JuvUK
