******4 More Interface Kits now available For Amibay Members *******

These will be supplied fully built and ready to install.

The term kit refers to an Upgrade kit not a kit of parts lol, sorry I wasn't clear

TC :)

They look great.
What benefit would one get over a turbo MMC, purely from a games perspective ?

The two systems are entirely different.

TurboMMC provides a database file comprised of disc images and allows jukebox style selection.

The IDE system provides an ADFS hard disk partition(s), with real time read write and file transfer, it can run any software including games, most importantly it is 100% Acorn MOS and Tube compatible so if you are using a coprocessor then you can even boot DOS from the CF card.

I use both systems on my own machines.

:)

That sounds great.
What I dislike about turbo MMC is the 1 MMC per sdcard regardless of size and slots used, although I understand the limitations.

Could you add me to the list :)

Hello Graham, you can have as many as you like my friend.

Absolutely, thank you :)

I'll have one too TC - It'll go on the Beeb you sold me :)

Can I run it with the MMC at the SAME time ?

Thanks for your interest guys.

The IDE interface will run with the MMC adapters connected too..

It can be fitted internally or externally, on the Master it will sit on the side of the mobo, on the Model B it can be attached to the to lid :)

I'm currently writing the Install and user manual and hope to ship the first units this weekend so will be in touch with you all regarding payment and confirming postal details.

Thank you all so much for supporting this new product.

:)

So it simply a matter of copying disk images to the card then running them as if you had a disk drive attached is that right?

No, there are no disk images involved.
It is like having a very fast 512Mb ADFS floppy drive, essentially the same as the CF card on a Datacentre.
You can save files to it, copy files from floppy disks, etc.
You will need a compatible ADFS. I expect this information will be in the manual.

Will you be doing another run of these ?? currently on Holiday and all spent up and more.

Thanks guys, all added to the list, there will be a second run very soon.

And thank you Ray for stepping in and helping out, much appreciated.
A Dual ROM will be supplied with a fully compatible ADFS for both the Model B / B+ and Master systems

The only thing the end user needs is to install the product and the manual will give step by step instructions for both systems, supply a CF card from 1GB upwards and a Windows XP/7/10 PC or MAC with a CF card reader to write and edit the HD images.

A fully loaded functional image will be available too as well as all utilities.

And of course excellent Tech support directly from Me ;)

Bas :)

Is this going to be something like the Gotek drive for the Amiga?
The Video Demo will be very helpful at least for me.
