    I always wanted Worms plushes when I was a youngster. I was absolutely hooked on the Game Boy version back in 1996, and never went anywhere without it (even though it was actually possible for the computer players to knock you out of a match early on, leaving you watching them duking it out for the next fifteen minutes with no input whatsoever).

  2. Official Ecco the Dolphin Plush

    This entry is extra-special. I finally had the time to get some good photographs of my official Ecco the Dolphin plush, which to the best of my knowledge is one of the most obscure pieces in my collection.

    I briefly looked but couldn't find any other mentions of these online, so consider this a contribution to preserving a little bit of UK-specific gaming-related culture, which is a subject that's close to my heart.

  3. Jazz Jackrabbit Beanie

    I'm posting about a lesser-known official item, this time.

    This is a beanie-plush of Jazz Jackrabbit, made to promote the Macintosh port of Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Initially they were only available when ordering the game directly from the porting house responsible for it, but they were later sold separately after stocks of the game ran out.

  5. Tiki the Kiwi!

    I was always surprised that, for all its popularity, Taito's arcade game, The NewZealand Story, wasn't merchandised more.

    When I was a youngster, my grandmother made me a knitted version of the game's protagonist, Tiki the Kiwi. Unfortunately he was lost many years ago. However, I was thrilled when I found that an official Tiki plush had existed - so much so that I started using a deputy service in order to purchase items from Yahoo! Auctions Japan in order to get myself one.
