Default Pi1541 hat (assembled) with OLED display

New thread started due to hardware update/change

Pi1541 hat (assembled) with OLED display

"Pi1541 is a real-time, cycle exact, Commodore 1541 disk drive emulator that can run on a Raspberry Pi 3B (or 3B+)."

Add games, demos and programs (.d64 format and more) to the RPi's micro SD card and load it from the Pi1541 like a real Commodore 1541/1581 diskdrive.

The Pi1541 project is developed by Steve White for free and as a token of appreciation for Steves fantastic contribution to the Commodore community, I will donate 10% of the proceeds to him. If you built your own board and use the Pi1541 software, please consider making a donation to support Steves work.

Read more about the project here.

This board is 'Option B' which means that you need the line 'splitIECLines = 1' in your options.txt file.

    Availability: 0 unit(s)

    Features:

    • 128x64 OLED display included (white text)
    • Dual DIN connectors
    • Power and activity LEDs
    • Piezo speaker for stepper motor sound simulation (optional)
    • Output for external speaker
    • Socketed IC
    • Two kinds of board stand-offs are included (2 x 4 pieces)

Each unit is professionally built, tested and shipped in ESD protective material.

Besides the Pi1541 you will need:
    • Raspberry Pi 3B/3B+ with a micro-SD card
    • Proper power supply for above (2.4A is recommended)
    • Serial cable

    Price: 42 € per unit
    International shipping: 5 € untracked* or 11 € tracked

Payment in EUR via Paypal as gift (buyer stands for fees).

These are also sold elsewhere. Thanks for looking!

*At buyers risk. I recommend tracked shipping if unsure.

Is there any reason that these don't work with a pi zero?

That's an excellent question and from what I've read the Zero isn't fast enough (I guess that signal timing is the issue) with the current Pi1541 software but it * might * be solved in the future.

Any possibility that more of them will become available in the near future?

    Hi,

Yes, probably sometime next week. I ran out of a few components but has ordered more. I can drop you a PM when they're back!
