Default Amiga A4000/40 Complete System with Upgrades and 1084S monitor

    Hello everyone,

I have decided to sell my Amiga A4000/40 system. I had plans to restore the unit completely and bring it to "like new" condition, unfortunately I have no time to dedicate to it, so it is time to pass it on to another Amiga aficionado.

A little back story to this Amiga. In April of this year I acquired it from the original owner who is an ex-Pixar animator. This owner told me that animators at Pixar would use these machines to test out quick hand-drawn animations using the Vid24 to capture the sketches before beginning the 3D animation process. About 10 years ago he decided to retire this Amiga: he de-soldered the cell clock battery, as he knew it would eventually leak, and put the unit in storage. Early this year before moving to Europe he re-discovered the Amiga in his storage and sold it to me. He provided me with all the original equipment - computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and disks. The next few months I found and purchased a number of upgrades I planned to install - some I did, others I have not yet installed.

Here is a list of the specs and the accessories and upgrades included in this sale:

    - Amiga 4000/40 complete with mouse, keyboard
    - Amiga 1084S monitor
    - AGA - FlickerFixer/ScanDoubler II V2.0
    - Amiga 040/060 Upgrade Adapter by Mozart & Matze with 68060/50 processor and ROM
    - Individual Computers BigRAM Plus 256Mb Ram Zorro III card + 16Mb RAM on board for a total of 272Mb RAM
    - Blue Ribbon Soundworks One Stop Music Shop Zorro II card with daughterboard
    - Vid24 image capture external peripheral
    - Amigakit Super Buster update
    - Amigakit Lithium coin cell clock battery adapter
    - SD to IDE Hard Drive adapter with Transcend 8GB microSD card (original mechanical hard drive included)
    - Plus many other items as you can see in the main photo - Amiga 520 video adapter, Perfect Sound adapter, disks, cables, etc.

I am offering this complete system for $1200 here on Amibay and on Craigslist before putting it up for auction on eBay. I am located in San Mateo, California (near San Francisco) and am hoping to sell to a local buyer. If there is a buyer interested who cannot pick-up, I can pack and ship the complete system (sorry I am not interested in breaking it up) safely anywhere, however, as you can imagine, the entire package is quite large and heavy and will cost a lot to ship. I estimate $200-$300 in continental US and at least $500 overseas. I know because I manage a ceramic shop and we pack and ship our delicate wares all over the world.

I am including many high resolution photos so that you can see the condition. Please note that the LCD monitor in one of the images is not included - it was used only to show the functionality of the Scandoubler.

Should you have any questions please let me know.

Thank you for your interest and happy viewing.
    Igor

Wow! You have very nice piece of history indeed! I wish I lived somewhere in the area (can't really afford the cost of shipping to Europe)...
    sorry I could not resist...

just a note spend a few dollars and clean the battery area it does not look to bad but leave it and your 1200 could drop to less than a 1000. Lemon Juice to neutralise it and circuit board cleaner to clean everything up half hours work life time survival for the poor 4000
