I'm having trouble updating the firmware on my SCSI2SD v6 using scsi2sd-util6 update the feature... The error is "No DFU capable USB device available"....
Having the same issue as well with 2x V6s the dfu-util.exe scsi2sd-util6.exe and firmware.dfu are all in the same directory as per quci user guide running the prog as administrator.
Are you still stuck with this? You don't mention which OS you're using, but assuming it's Windows, it sounds like you may not have installed the SCSI2SD V6 driver. You can download it from http://www.codesrc.com/files/scsi2sd-v6/latest/windows/driver/ or, alternatively, you can use scsi2sd-util6 on a Mac or Linux, where this driver is not needed.
Updating my SCSI2SD V6's were a royal pain in the rear, even with the driver. But it can and does eventually work. It took me 6 different USB cables and trying 3 different USB ports on my Win 7 machine, but it did eventually work. The update to the latest firmware is worth the effort.
I have two SCSI2SD V6 boards. I updated one of them perfectly, the other fails, just like the original poster. I have no idea why, I would assume there is a fault, even though the board works fine otherwise.
