A new product in the DS Retro Garage offer!
If you want to install the internal SD2iEC yourself in your Commodore 64 without using a soldering iron and cutting any holes in the computer case, I encourage you to purchase a ready-made self-assembly kit. Thanks to such a solution and the lack of necessity to use an external reader, you will certainly gain more space on your desk. ?
In the set you get:
- SD2iEC reader with accessories necessary for connection,
- mounting frame with a set of screws,
- instructions and assembly diagram,
- SD card filled with programs and games.
Price: 70 EUR + shipping costs.

Is there still enough room to use the userport (e.g. for a wiModem)?

Can this also be installed on a C64 Reloaded (which has specific SD2IEC solder points)?

No, it is not possible to use the User Port anymore. No, you can use it only with the original C64 boards.
