Amiga 1200 -> brown kickstart screen from RGB and COMP

Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help, or point me in the right direction...

my A1200 seems to be missing a colour, but i cant work out which , or how to fix it.

instead of the purple its brown....

so am i missing the blue ?

Is there a good guide to help me diagnose the problem - id much rather fix her.

load up some graphics program and use test screens
full white to see if some colour is permanently missing
full black to see if some colour is permanently active
etc (red, green, blue, and combinations)

maybe your red and blue are lower than normal, about half-ish for red and one-third for blue?

just to let anyone know who might read this in the future, it was the video dac, and i bought some new ones from ebay - had Amiga Passion fit a socket so i could replace it in the future if it happened again.
