Hiya,
Does anyone know a good tutorial on replacing the A4000 PSU Fan?

What are the needed dimensions anyway? How big is it. It's so noisy...already heard that the airflow/pressure output is important because of the design of the case.

Thanks.

That should be straightforward. The fan is probably 80x80 mm. You can quickly confirm that by opening up the power supply and measuring it yourself. You can also check, if the cable is soldered directly to the PCB or not, at the same time.

Yes, it's an 80mm fan. 12V. Can't remember if it's soldered directly to the PCB but I think so.

I would get the FLX because of a much larger airflow. Sure it's not as quiet as ULN but it will still be much quieter than your stock fan.

Here's what I did with an Acid Blaster which is more or less silent.

If you want it quiet cut out the original mesh and fit wire mesh - much better airflow and noise is significantly cut down.
