Because it would mean to kill 1 A3000 (and 1 A1200 at least): it's a very beautiful motherboard but it requires very special donors

Not true. I am not using my 1200 or 3000 as donors for this project, I have sourced all the necessary custom chips from NOS

I think he's not sold a lot of them because there's not a lot of A3000's out there. The other thing is there's no cases to house these new motherboards in, I've not seen many A3000 cases for sale, possibly 1 this year so whoever buys one of these needs a case to house it in.
An interesting project/update would be the CDTV motherboard with AGA and updated with a 68030/060 CPU soldered onto it, a SATA interface for an upgrade/update to the CD drive as well as the original CD drives are difficult to get, think of a CDTV with a DVD drive upgrade, cool thought or what?

Yep, same here. Just about everything is available NOS for folks who look hard enough. I believe the only exception for this is SUPER DMAC. Fortunately I have a spare DMAC-04 so it's no problem.

I just recently worked out a deal with someone for an empty A3000 case too, so I'm completely covered for my build. I am on the lookout for a 3000 floppy drive though, I've got spare buttons...just no drive.

So what are the exact custom chips required for this?
Do I also need a hard to find DMAC 4 or would a DMAC 2 suffice?
And the scsi chip is a WD proto 8 or AMD alternative (AM33C93A-16PC)?
Buster 11s seem to have become scarce all of a sudden as well...

What is the exact product id for the CPU connector? Is it KEL 8807-200-170S-F? Or is this only the Female (CPU card side) part? So should I look for KEL 8807-200-170S-M? I can't find anythng about this.

Can I leave out 68030 CPU, 68881/68882 FPU if I add a A3630 (or other CPU card)?

    Amiga custom chips:
    Alice (391010-01)
    Lisa (391227-01)
    Paula (391077-01)
    Fat Gary (390540-02)
    SuperDMAC-02 (390537-02) or SuperDMAC-04*
    Ramsey-04 (390541-04) or Ramsey-07 (390541-07)*
    SuperBuster-11 (390539-11)
    2x CIA (391078-01 or 391078-02)

    SCSI chip:
    AM33C93A-16PC or WD33C93A-PL -04 or -08

    CPU slot connector:
    8807-200-170S

You can leave out the onboard CPU and FPU if your CPU card has FPU.

*You should use SuperDMAC-02 with Ramsey-04 or SuperDMAC-04 with Ramsey-07. SuperDMAC-02 and Ramsey-07 may work but won't guarantee.

Following the search for some of the other components....

Are this references ok for the on board cpu and fpu?
    CPU: MC68EC030RP25B
    FPU: MC68882FN25A

And the last ones... do you have some part number or product id for these components?
    PAL/NTSC oscillator
    memory chips for Chip RAM
memory chips for Scandoubler (I assume that there are another different ones from those of the chip ram)

    Thanks!!!!

    Should both be fine.

    PAL/NTSC oscillator
I guess you are on your own with that one.

    memory chips for Chip RAM

4x Samsung KM48C512DJ-6 or similar - the same as in the A4000 and A1200 R2

memory chips for Scandoubler (I assume that there are another different ones from those of the chip ram)

Be aware that those are expensive and hard to obtain!

    6x M514221B-30R
    plus
    6x UPD42101C-3

    But let hese re-check these!

    Best,
    Torsten
