I have a iomega tape 250 here. Don't know if it is working. I could not get the device working, was unable to find the right software.

Do you have the original Software? And could you make an image of the diskettes and mail those to me?

Hmmmm i just testet the DOS 6.2.2 Backup tool, called MS backup. But thatone only does backups on Diskettes. Conner Backup exec at least knows about Tapes, but could not get it to run.

Anyhow... the Iomega just crashed one of my tapes. The moving wheel is totally sticky. I think that's the same problem you have, isn't it? Otherwise i could send it to you for shipping costs only.

thank you, appreciate it, but I would not bother you with parcel/shipping in that case.

yes, this is exactly the same problem - physical/chemical issue of the material.
this was a very nice drive, these days...
