A600 HDD speed only 1,040,253 Bytes/sec

Hi,

I wile ago my A600 was suffering from slow HDD speeds with CF using FFS.
Someone told me how to speed this up a bit but cant remember what to do.
If I remember right, it was something in startup-sequence.
Can someone please remind me, I would really appreciate it.

CPU FASTROM

if you have an accelerator card with MMU
 
OK. Was it ADDBUFFERS ?

What speed are you hoping to achieve?
 
Are you using the plain A600 IDE controller or some add-on like IDE-Fix Express?
 
A600 on board IDE.
I was sure there was an improvement by adding a command to startup-sequence.
But it was a couple of years ago, so I dont know.

Are you using a Furia accelerator?

If so, grab the furiatune program and add it to your startup-sequence and use its maprom functionality for a nice boost.

The program also supports an ide boost option (not always compatible) you can try for an additional boost.

For me, this takes things to a bit over 2.5mb.
