My DIY joystick

I finished my second DIY joystick. This uses the Sanwa arcade stick mechanism. The casing is a generic one found from the local electronics store. The cord is made out of a DB9 extension cable. It’s working fine, although I personally prefer a bit stiffer joysticks. I need to get some flatter and smoother screws for the mechanism.



 
Nice job! Did you think about the Sanwa silent model? I a man thinking about building one too...

I got the box from a local electronics shop.

I’ve also begun to convert an old Gravis Analog into digital. That means basically making a new base for the gimbal that houses the micro switches.

Here’s a WIP of the base:

The dimensions of the box are 190x200x70 mm.
