I had feedback on the standard white color of the manufacturer, which is RAL 9003.
This is according to an online color comparison site, quite similar to RAL 9016 and quite a bit more white compared to RAL 9002, see https://www.e-paint.co.uk/Compare_colours.asp

    What do you guys think?

I did some comparisons on my calibrated display. RAL9002 IMHO resembles the original color quite closely. RAL9003 is also a white variant with a "sandy" touch but brighter.
Intuitively, I'd tend to RAL9003 for a shiny new front. On the other hand, RAL9002 would be a safer/conservative bet for something matching the rest of the computer/keyboard combo.

Since musing about pros/cons doesn't help the OP, tl;dr says: 1 vote for RAL9003

Well, while RAL 9003 could be "too white", there's no guarantee that RAL 9002 won't be "too grey". In the end, we're talking painted aluminum, so we'll probably never get the colour of a NOS original part anyway.

@PRS: if a quantity of 1 piece per colour is not a problem, I'd like to get both 9002 and 9003, thus raising my order to 3 bezels ( I'm sure I can always sell the part I can find less convincing). If not, I'll follow the decision of the group.

Can I declare still interest for one and vote for RAL9003 as the whiter one?
My goal is to have 2x cases of A4000D and 1x A4000T sanded, protected and finally powder coated with this colour too so Id prefer a whiter one...

I think Im in the middle of the thread and excited by all options... will confirm this by PM this weekend.

How did you go with the CF adapter cover? That is for sure a fancy one Id love...

I am designing myself too in 3D (with SketchUp). Happy to help from existing models ready to print. I know milling constraints so happy to adapt the design if need be...

    Default 2x White

Another user is interested in two white front bezels. He did register on AmiBay recently but has some difficulties posting which is why he asked me to write here on his behalf.

The user is registered as "AndreasNe". He did not tell me which additional accessories and covers he might need. Considering the state of at least one of his newly acquired A4000s, I'd say that the matching power buttons should also be put on the list .

    Thanks in advance,
    Henryk

    @PRS : Add me to the list, I declare interest in: WHITE - Front Bezel + Power knob + A + B + C + D

Would it be possible to tap the holes where the magnets are placed? That would make it a bit easier
for us with no metal working tools to use solution like a4Kuse
    http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...l=1#post976491

One more thing, did the A4000 come with different size leds or are the holes in the bezel just a tiny bit too small?
